One of the lucky ones.

As some of you may know, after a lifetime of urological and renal problems, culminating in 3 years on dialysis, I recieved a life saving Kidney Transplant in 2001.

Then in 2017 I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. At the age of 49 this wasn’t going to be an easy process. After having eight and a half hour surgery to remove my bladder and various other bits and pieces, then scans and other tests, I was told the tumors were gone and I wouldn’t need further treatment. I was once again… One of the lucky ones.

Cork MUH 2017

Although my recovery is going well, this particular chapter in my life has shown me (and my body) that I need to slow the pace down a bit and so I’ll be cutting way back on live shows from now on and focusing more on Songwriting and Recording.

To all of you who have and are still supporting my wife Sandra and Me through all of this, I just want to say thank you. Sooooo much.

Andy 😆
