Fund Raising Night In aid of MUSCLAR DYSTROPHY IRELAND

SEAN LONG is an 8 year old boy from Cork City. He was born with Prune Belly Syndrome and is presently waiting for a life saving Kidney Transplant. In the next few weeks, Sean (with his Mother / Father) will have to travel three days a week to Dublin for Dialysis until such times as he recieves a Gift Of Life. ANDY DUNNE along with Cork band SCAPA FLO and other guests will be holding a Fundraising Night for Sean and his Family on Friday Sept 10th 2010 in The Glen H/F Club, Ballincollie Rd Blackpool, Cork. Prune Belly Syndrome

is a rare birth defect affecting about 1 in 40,000 births. About 97% of those affected are male. Prune belly syndrome is a congenital disorder of the urinary system, characterized by a triad of symptoms. The syndrome is named for the mass of wrinkled skin that is often (but not always) present on the abdomens of those with the disorder. Other names for the syndrome include Abdominal Muscle Deficiency Syndrome, Congenital Absence of the Abdominal Muscles, Eagle-Barrett Syndrome.
