Well it’s been a very enjoyable musical year.
I’ve again been lucky to have had the absolute pleasure to play with some great people…always learning and hopefully bringing something to the table myself.
My solo work seems to have gotten more interesting too, in the sense that I have been challenged.
Well?? I’m certainly not getting any younger!! And there are so many young and amazingly talented people on the scene that I find myself working harder to hold on to my own corner. Not a bad thing at all I suppose… ha.
This year I found myself working with Cork man Myles Gaffney on his CD “Redemption Road”. A very important project for him as it was his first commercial recording and for me too as it gave me a chance to once again put on different hats and deliver the goods. Another educational challenge!
My physical health has continued to hold its own, something for which I’m so grateful. The 14 years since my Kidney Transplant have just flown. I like to think it hasn’t been time wasted and that I’m winning little personal battles and reaching goals along the way.
So 2015 seems to have been all about challenge and baby steps. As long as those steps, however small take me on a growing and learning journey…then I’m up for it.
Have a great December people! And a wonderful Xmas.
