It’s Sunday November 8th, 3:52pm and I’m at home still thinking about last night’s show in The Oliver Plunkett Bar Cork.
Even after so long I still get extremely nervous before every gig. Almost to a point of going blank. It’s a situation I try to deal with but have yet been able to control. I do try to turn it into positive/driving energy but it’s not easy. Then…
You come along…
An accepting audience.
I try to give every piece of my being when I play..that’s not a boast, It’s the only way I know. But when it is accepted and appreciated then my nerves go and I float on a wave of inner peace. The music and the audience carry me to the opposite end of that mental/physical spectrum and it truly is amazing.
This might seem like a crazy rant but believe me it’s not.
This is me saying thank you for making the pre-gig nerve wrecking day worthwhile.
I’ll see you soon.
Until next time…
Thanks so much for your support.
